Ori and the Will of the Wisps, Dandara Trials of Fear, and Bio-Gun

The Metroidvania Review is keeping its ear to the floor for any Metroidvania related news, and on a weekly basis we gather it up and share it with you. This will primarily be links to other sites, and you may have already heard the news throughout the week, but in case you missed something we hope to provide a good summary for what’s out there.

If you hear any interesting Metroidvania news – New Games, Major Updates to Existing Games, interviews with Metroidvania developers, or anything else of merit – share it with us and we will share it here on this weekly post with credit given to the finder (Please provide a link to your social media so we can send them back your way.) New Release – Ori and the Will of the Wisps

Ori and the Will of the Wisps is finally here today! We’re so excited that we’re going to be playing it straight through to try and get our review out by Monday. We do want to make sure we spend plenty of time with it though, so keep an eye on our announcements page in case we need to delay it for any reason.

Update Released – Dandara Trials of Fear Edition

Dandara Trials of Fear is here! Dandara was already a good game, as we covered in our review, so extra content and some tweaks can only make it better.

If you haven’t purchased Dandara yet, it’s also handsomely discounted on all platforms currently, so it’s a great time to jump in if you hurry. Our review page has handy links to those stores if you’re interested. Just click “More info”.

New Steam Page

A few weeks ago we had the first Metroidvania game that we’ve covered that takes place in the Human Body. This week, Bio-Gun marks the second. You play as a Vaccine trying to save your host from the Dooper virus. It will include “Light Roguelite Elements” and Bullet-Hell gameplay.
