New Game Updates

Phoenotopia Awakening Patch 1.0.5
Detail Patch Notes Link
I could tell pretty early on into Phoenotopia that it might be a little too difficult for many people, and unsurprisingly the difficulty was at the center of a lot of other critic’s comments. There is a lot to enjoy in Phoenotopia Awakening besides just the combat, so it’s fantastic that this new patch adds in some accessibility options for those who just can’t enjoy the action parts of the game. If Phoenotopia’s quirky action style was a sticking point for you before, check out the accessibility options available and see if they might make the game more right for you.

New Releases

Artifacts – Windows (Steam)
Collect artifacts to challenge underground foes. Artifacts can be combined for extra effects. Includes some light roguelike elements. A free browser-based demo is available on

Haak (Early Access) – Windows (Steam), Coming Later to Nintendo Switch, Android and iOS
Take down the mysterious organization entrenched in a post-apocalyptic world. Uncover the secrets of the world through exploration and finding lore. Available now in Early Access!

Redneck Ed: Astro Monsters ShowWindows PC (Steam)
An energetic, colorful arcade-style beat ‘em up that follows the misadventures of Ed, a simple mechanic. Between stages there are platforming elements that inspired the developer to include the Metroidvania tag on the steam store, so I’d definitely consider this one to be at most a light fit.

New Steam Pages

A pixel art metroidvania platformer about the adventures of a white kitten.

Drilly Willis

Faerie Afterlight is a beautifully visualized Platformer-Metroidvania game with comforting, tuneful music and a tale, unlike any bedtime story to accompany.

Janosik is a free-to-play retro action-platformer game with metroidvania elements where you take on the role of the legendary Slavak Highwayman.
