This will primarily be links to other sites, and you may have already heard the news throughout the week, but in case you missed something we hope to provide a good summary for what’s out there.

If you hear any interesting Metroidvania news – New Games, Major Updates to Existing Games, interviews with Metroidvania developers, or anything else of merit – share it with us and we will share it here on this weekly post with credit given to the finder (Please provide a link to your social media so we can send them back your way.) Even if you find something we already knew about, we’ll still give you credit.

New Releases

Simona’s Requiem – Windows PC (Steam)
“As a servant of the purple cloak reapers, you are tasked with collecting the soul of the Fisher King, who has hidden behind the moon. Explore caves and manors to find clues on how to finish your quest.”

SJ-19 Learns to Love – Windows/Linux PC (Steam,
An extraordinarily cute Mini-Metroidvania from the folks that brought us Spooky Ghosts Dot Com. We will be reviewing this game on this upcoming Monday!

Trash Quest – Windows PC (Steam)
Trash Quest is a “compact Metroidvania with a single spawn point”, with an emphasis on unlocking shortcuts and run and gun action. We absolutely love the premise of this game from a theming standpoint and a design focus.
