Low

Sheepo

3 out of 5. A functional and fun platformer that manages to wear just a little thin with its gimmicks even with its short playtime, but makes up for it with a uniquely bizarre atmosphere.

Strider (2014)

4 out of 5. A pure adrenaline filled power trip with that signature Capcom campiness. It will provide ample excitement from start to finish, or you can take a break from that to find more collectables.

Finding Teddy

3.5 out of 5. Not a Metroidvania, but if you want to try its Metroidvania Sequel – Chronicles of Teddy – I highly recommend you play this one first to become familiar with its musical language concept

Leowald

2.5 out of 5. High levels of customization and novelty mitigate some floaty controls and repetitive design, however beyond that there’s still something truly special about Leowald that can’t be scored

Mage

3 out of 5. A whimsical Mini-Metroidvania. Its power progression and silly banter between its main characters offers up simple fun that won’t take too much time away from your other games.

Wuppo

4 out of 5. Primarily an adventure game, Wuppo’s greatest strength is in its immersive world and its hilariously presented characters. Exploration is about escapism rather an imposed goal.

Apoapsis

2 out of 5. A very impressive game for something that was made in 18 days, for which the developer should be congratulated. Competing with other available options though, it’s harder to recommend.
