"A sword and gun style platformer in the vein of the Mega Man Zero series with more emphasis on non-linear exploration. Excellent moments and bosses, held back by some polish issues."

Metroidvania Breakdown

Combat
3.5/5

It has the bones of great combat but its held back by some polish issues and conveyance problems with later bosses

Platforming
3.5/5

Platforming is only occasionally tested heavily, and when it is the air dash feels a little too rigid to handle the small platforms. Not a focus overall

Exploration
4/5

There are at least two ways to get to every objective you're given, and outside of that there are a ton of optional and meaningful upgrades to discover.

Puzzle
3/5

No major puzzle platforming elements. Some bosses require you to figure out how to beat them, but it's unfortunately a little obtuse at times.

Story
3.5/5

Excellent Sci-fi albeit a bit straight forward. More could have been done to develop NPCs.

Graphics
4/5

Pixel Art is gorgeous overall however some animations contribute to conveyance issues

Music
3.5/5

Music is always appropriate but ultimately forgettable

Replayability
4/5

Because of the exploration-based design philosophy, you could take a different pathway on a separate playthrough, or use a different weapon to fight with.
